Long over due part 2

All excellent guesses yesterday. All were things that I would like to have going on here but money only allowed for this one project right now. There were two of you who actually guessed rights.

This is a job that should have been done a couple years ago. Our roof has been in seriously bad shape. My yard has been littered with shingles every time it gets windy. So finally the funds were available and we were given an exceptionally good deal.

They started work Thursday morning and by the time I got home at 2:30 they were almost done.

What remains of the old roof.

This crew not only worked fast but they were the cleanest work crew I've ever seen.

I no longer have to get nervous every time the wind blows or it starts to rain.

Your house looks very beautiful with the new roof!

I am so glad for you!! The back of your house looks like ours. It is hard to get good roofers who will not drag out the time.

Wow that is fantastic! Im happy for you. And great that the roofers were effective too.

Why didn't I think of that?!!! We have to do this real soon also. I dread the noise and mess.

Looks like a great job done. The test is when the wind blows and the rains come.

that is really fast, ours took 2 days to finish and they were NOT neat at all... looks great...ouch on the money spent but a need is a need. i did not realize your house is 2 stories.

Oh Wow, that is great. Nothing better than a new roof to keep the rain drops out of the house. And they did that quickly too. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Nice to get a problem solved

Ah! All at once. That would be nice. I have another section to do as soon as I can get up there. Looks great.

I hope they got all the flashings right. A leaky roof will do all kinds of long lasting damage to the rest of a home...a priority fix, definitely.

When I had a new roof put on they had a time with the flashing around the fireplace. Glad you get to cross it off the "to do list". :)

Great job and great relief too! I still don't like those stormy nights though!

Good for you and you'll not have any issues with your roof anymore. Awesome.

Have a fabulous day. My best to Duke. ♥♥♥

That was my next guess! :) It looks wonderful and glad you have peace of mind in the storms now too!

Yay for new roofs...I can totally appreciate that!
Now, what I really want to know is did you think of anything crafty to do with some of the old shingles!!?

Wonderful!

Congrats.... I know exactly how you feel... When we finally got our new roof, I felt so much better. We never did have any leaking inside -but we did lose some old shingles BEFORE getting the new roof... Yous looks about the same color as ours. I wanted DARK --so we went with a black....

GREAT JOB.
Hugs,
Betsy

I should have guessed it - wonderful.

I know it's not a fun thing to think about spending money on, but when it's over, you feel so much better that you did it. We are getting a new furnace and air conditioner installed next week so I know exactly how you feel. Old furnaces make me nervous.

Arlynda wants our roof replaced, but until raindrops start dropping on my head as I sit in my chair in our living room, I would rather spend the money on yummies for my tummy.

Hooray for a new roof!! A very good investment indeed.

Happy Easter Ann!
