Here we come a wassailing

Does anyone go caroling any more?

Wassail
1:  an early English toast to someone's health
2:  a hot drink that is made with wine, beer, or cider, spices, sugar, and usually baked apples and is traditionally served in a large bowl especially at Christmastime
3:  riotous drinking
Going from house to house singing Christmas carols the singers would partake of a wee bit of wassail. Sounds like a good tradition to keep up with if you ask me.

I will be wassailing. I am in a flash mob the 18th. We will go to large shopping areas and act like customers, until a certain time and then converge toward the same area singing Silent Night.

Not around here Ann! I cannot honestly remember the last time I saw any carolers!

Wow....I have heard of this drink, but never ever looked up its ingredients. I'd be singing more than Carols after a few stop-bys around the neighborhood with THAT potion.

Whoa.

I Don't think anyone does that any more which is too bad. What a fun thing to do especially if the Wassail is involved. Have a great day Ann.

Haven't heard any carolers for years - did it myself when I was a kid.

We used to go to a Christmas show back in CO where there was a song about wassail and they gave us all some too. We also had carolers that came to our house here every year but last year they didn't show. Hopefully they come back this year!

Public indecency laws will not allow for wassailing anymore. Are you promoting moral degradation? This will surely get you on another list!

We went caroling with a big group many years ago and it was fun. I can't sing a lick but there are others that covered for us less talented. I have made Wassail with apple cider. It smells great and looks festive in a punch bowl.
